Comedian. Columnist. Ice-cream flavour.

Kuah Jenhan has been nominated for several prestigious awards such as Best Comedy Show at Perth Fringe World 2016 and Best Original Book and/or Lyrics for the musical Lat Kampung Boy at the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards 2012. He's also been shortlisted as a finalist for his advertising campaign in collaboration with Smirnoff Ice (Malaysia) at the Effie Awards 2015. But has won none. The only thing he's ever won is the Gold Medal for Tug-Of-War in Methodist Boys’ School Kuala Lumpur in 2004.

Besides losing, he has written and produced 5 solo comedy/theatre pieces which have seen sold out seasons in Malaysia and Australia. Jenhan was also invited by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to headline the inaugural Comedy Zone Asia in 2015 and has consistently received 4 stars (or more) from international reviewers. His show ‘Like This Like Dad’ also had an entirely sold out season at the Darwin Festival 2017. This year, his new show ‘Electric Butterflies’ saw its debut at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and is already slated to play the Adelaide Fringe 2019, NZ International Comedy Festival 2019, and Edinburgh Festival in 2019.

Other interesting projects include creating and conceptualising North Bangsar, a fictional-nomadic-dictatorial-country that came to life as a mini-festival (filled with random acts and other performances) within Urbanscapes 2014. Jenhan ran the country which had a record high of 6,500 visitors as its dictator leader, Jon Mayor. He has also performed sold out revues as his other alter-egos Rambo Tan and #badboi, started a parody band of 'The Impatient Sisters' called 'The Impatient Brothers', opened for Eddie Izzard in Malaysia and has performed to audiences ranging from 8000 (an awards show at Stadium Putra) to 1 (he was madly in love (it eventually went unrequited)).

Jenhan loves his cat, Ninja.

A killer of the night’s biggest laughs.

Jenhan is quite the engaging story-teller…you’ll leave with a soft spot for this modestly-spoken comedian
